abstract = "Antarctic sea ice variability is strongly associated with
atmospheric circulation variability on many time scales. At the
seasonal scale, the strongest signal is across the Pacific sector,
where ENSO-related circulation anomalies are associated with a
dipole in sea ice extent across the Antarctic Peninsula. At the
weekly scale, a zonal wave three pattern is evident in coupled
patterns of sea ice and circulation variability, with maximum
amplitude across the Pacific and again aligned with a dipole in
sea ice extent across the Antarctic Peninsula. This presentation
will document and discuss such relationships, and possible
forcings for observed sea ice variability.",
